Mitcheldean Neighbourhood Development Plan
GLADMANS DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL
As you may have heard Gladmans Land Development promoters have put forward an initial speculative proposal for 125 houses and associated landscaping on the field between Bradley Court Road and Carisbrook Road. They have asked for residents observations and if you have comments please send them to www.your-views.co.uk/Mitcheldean or write to Your Views Mitcheldean, Gladman House, Alexandra Way, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 1LB.
This land has been identified following Community Consultation and research for the draft NDP not to be developed. The Forest of Dean District Council has a sound Allocations Plan that has been adopted and this land is not included.
Please note no Planning Application has been made yet. Should one be made it will not be supported by the NDP.

Regulation 14 Public Consultation Notice
In accordance with Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Part 5, 14(a)-(c) notice is hereby given that a formal pre-submission public consultation on the Draft Mitcheldean Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) will start at 8am on Saturday 25th August 2018 for a period of 8 weeks ending at 12 am on Saturday 20th October 2018.
Mitcheldean Neighbourhood Development Plan has been developed to help deliver the local community’s requirements and aspirations for the Plan Period up to 2026. The NDP has been created by listening to the views of the residents of the parish.
Mitcheldean Parish Council invites comments on the draft NDP. All responses received will be considered by the steering Group and the Parish Council to inform a revised version of the NDP. The revised version of the NDP will then be submitted to the Forest of Dean District Council, as the local planning authority, for examination by an independent examiner.

What is the NDP
A vibrant village and gateway to the historic Forest of Dean, Mitcheldean offers both a residential and working community. The current Vantage Point Business Village (the former Xerox plant and Wintles Brewery) is at the heart of the village which is set amid rolling green hills that disguise the business park with the historic brewery mew buildings at the heart of the village.
A Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) consists of documents – produced by the community for their community – containing maps, lists and policies. They form a vision for the future of the area produced by the local community for the community. The Localism Act and Neighbourhood Planning Regulations mean that communities have the right to undertake NDPs and they will be used to help to shape the future of the area
