Mitcheldean is a vibrant village perched on the edge of the ancient Forest of Dean. Historically Mitcheldean has been a working centre offering employment to many Forest residents, from the brewery initially through to the massive Xerox plant and the current Vantage Point Business Park, many Foresters have enjoyed working in Mitcheldean.
The Parish Council is now heavily involved in helping Mitcheldean become the vibrant village that it needs to be to tackle more modern times. This site is a further example of that aim and it is hoped that it will offer the residents of Mitcheldean a web window into what happens in Mitcheldean and how you can get involved. If you have any information you would like to see added to the site, now or in the future then please email the clerk at email@example.com or via our Facebook page.
Development of Mitcheldean
As part of the continuing development of Mitcheldean, local residents, organisations and businesses are being actively encouraged to get involved with the Parish Council and many committees and help groups now meet regularly in the Town Hall and the Library dealing with issues that are important to the village. These include the Library committee and a playing field committee as well as many others. If you feel you can contribute to these groups in any way, please contact the Clerk or any of the Councillors. Contact details are on the Your Council page.
The Neighbourhood Development Planning Committee
These meetings aim to give everyone an opportunity to have an input into such things as housing and business developments, leisure and tourist facilities.
If you would like to contribute please contact one of the councillors or the clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org
